What's a boxing day?

I first heard about boxing day during my first year in Hong Kong.

They told me its the day after Christmas...

Turned out its a day when children open their christmas present..HAHA..

Merry Christmas Everyone!!! Drew this fat Santa myself 2 days ago but didnt get to post it up before Christmas....stupid YES internet failed to get connected for days....

Didn't do much this year......just went out to fix my car's side mirror which was knocked by a truck earlier this week.....yes a truck drove too near to me on a highway and my right side mirror was knocked off. Now I have a new BLACK side mirror on one side while the whole car is silver in color. Am I trying to be a hipster? Nah....just Lazy+dont wana waste money paint itin silver, the vanilla colour is in black.

正在整理行李准备回/去香港。

开始分不出来什么时候要用'回'什么时候要用'去'了。

从一个异乡到另一个异乡。

接下来的路，好像挺曲折的。

哦，对了，满行李都是零食! 哈哈.希望到之前不会被砸碎。

在香港的朋友们，如果没有约你出来，给我打个电话吧。看看有没有空挡。

时间是比较紧迫，没有办法大家都约出来，先在这里道歉了。

有个朋友问我这么仓促的离开，有没有心理准备。

其实这种情况下真的是不得让我说有没有心理准备。有时候周围的状况和个人的性格配合下，选择只有一个:好处是不用作出选择。

好啦，继续收拾行李......

（PS今天设计了一些东西被人说丑，是有点悲哀。我喜欢画东西、设计东西，但是画/设计给别人真的是XX的痛苦。还好没入那行，画给自己看就好..hehe）

Wrist Pain- Carpal Tunnel..??

suffering from severe wrist pain after using an unusually tall table with an unusually low chair.

Just got a new chair yesterday from a nearby furniture shop, feels better but I think the consequence of month-long improper posture will not fade away that easily.

Things happened recently that happened to me since I last updated?

Here we go:

1)Just asked company for a transfer to KL(Shah Alam actually) currently 90% approved....

2)My kelisa came to me all the way from Penang, started driving around, brought mum to Pasar Malam/Tani :D

3)Just got my father to Hospital KL, a govt hospital, and realized what an A-hole private hospitals are.

4)Been watching lots of Hokkien drama with my Mum/Dad

5) Been watching lots of HK drama with my mum.

6) Heading back HK from 15th to 19th November. to pack the remaining stuff.

7) Changed a new laptop :) Fujitsu!!

8) My DSLR is slowly dying of fungus infection, thinking of switching to Nikon after this (You caught me...zero brand loyalty)

9) tries to exercize......not very successful apparently.....too lazy to wake up early.

Anyway, Seems like life took a quick turn for me :)
Lets all stay hopeful!

Putting a dent in the universe

During the days when my buddy, CK (Chuan Keat) just got hired by Apple as an engineer, he always repeat quotes after quotes from his boss Steve Jobs.

Really.....(talking bout 'almost religious like' admiration, LOL, this guy never use apple before he got hired!)

One of them is the one above :" Putting a dent in the universe." The full quote is as follow:

“We're here to put a dent in theuniverse, otherwise why else even be here?"

For those who don't know, I am currently on a long leave back in Malaysia, in the unfamiliar realm of Klang Valley (instead of my home town Penang) for family reason.

While hanging round, I got some spare time to think about what I am going to do next.

Steve's death remind me again of this quote.

I think the scariest thing is probably not death itself, but the thoughts you have on your death bed, that you know that you haven't really do what you wanted to do before you die, and you will never be able to do it. You are lucky if you believe in afterlife/second-life.

Oh yea, have been seeing a lot of the comics on line showing steve in a christian styled heaven. Just to be fair, I know he is a Zen Buddhist. So I drew him in a more Buddhist styled afterlife (actually just replacing the usual angels with a Buddha/monk).

Everyone can learn something different from Steve.

他只是一個鼓手。

娛樂新聞里他常常被其他團員調侃。他常常無言，而且一副臭臉，但是沒有辦法反抗。有時候有點替他可憐。

兩年前當我親身體驗五月天的演唱會時，他已經結婚生子，還改了名叫冠佑。他依然和我印象中一樣，被其他團員戲弄，但是因為身在現場的關係，我無意中體會到他們對他哪拐彎抹角的照顧和愛護。

Flatsharing 104: I swear, it was there for 7 days

When I first know Flatmate B likes cooking too, I am rather glad: maybe there is a chance to exchange recipe or a flatmates dinner get-together. I am being really optimistic.

But that idea lasted probably only a few days after I saw his first attempt in cooking. He might cook really well, but he almost completely skipped the 'cleaning' part.

The most impressive thing he did is to cook rice in the living room (thats strange enough), and the rice cooker (with leftover rice inside) is left in the living room for a full 7-day.And many time unwashed pans/plates/leftover ingredients are all over the kitchen.

The worse part is the food he cook is, most of the time, curry.

ANYWAYS, so sorry for the delay, I realize my last entry was posted exactly one month ago! Have been too busy guys. I actually drew the draft for this (and the next ) on the bus on my way to work ! I hope I can turn out more in the future by rethinking the way to work on it. Its actually rather time consuming to draw one (contary to what I expected it to be, an alternative of writing lengthy blogs in text, lol), the previous 2 entries took me about a few hours to complete.

Lastly, allow me to introduce to you: Flatmat B! The only non-Chinese in the house. do skate boarding, cooking, I know he also smokes and drink (like flatmate A), however Flatmate A and B doesnt get along really well.

Flat Sharing 103: Smoking

When I was searching for flatmates, I always put "non-smoker" as a very top priority criteria.

Unfortunately among my 4 (in reality, 5) flatmates: 2 are smokers.

I don't like its smell, and I have the rights to not have cancer.

I made it really clear to them, no smoking is allowed in the living room/kitchen/dining room..etc shared compound.

It is all well in the beginning. Until once I saw lighter in the bathroom. and I smell something fishy: smell of cigarette in the bathroom.

Oh gosh

At least....its only in the bathroom...i thought, after switching on the ventilation fan before I shower.

Not too long after that, I smell cigarette in the dining room.

Damn it.

I started questioning them indivually , of course they didn't admit, blaming the other guy instead.

There was once I was trying to clean up the place, and discover one single cigarette butt beside the table in my living room. Angrily, I took my broom and try to swipe it prepare to confront them later. I conveniently swipe under the table as well, and a dozen or so cigarette butts came out with an empty bottle of coke and some peanuts shells.

Good job.

As I am about to explode, one of the smoking flatmate (nicknamed :Flatemate A, as depicted in the cartoon above) came out from his room and quickly explained that it was the other flatmate's doing: he brought his friend here from some crazy drinking: it was Friday.

I sent him a message:

Found your cigarette butts in the living room. We agreed that no smoking is allowed in the common area. You might want to find another place before this happens the 2nd time.

However, flatmate A is no better. He is actually the one who smoke in the bathroom. The thing is, at least the other flatmate admits that he smoke. Flatmate A always acted as if he is obeying the rules, but he do it secretly.

I found a huge amount of half filled beer can in the place...I always thought how come they would leave beer on the table/living room overnight, that would spoiled the beer.

Until once the 'half filled beer can' was toppled, and a stream of black smelly, disgusting liquid flow from its opening.The "cans" are his ashtray...plus water..=__=

He also leave a polystyrene beside the balcony door for his cigarette butts: its okay..as long as he smokes in the balcony. BUT he never clean the bowl, the bowl is there for a few months, with the butts pounding up.

A few days ago, I stay up really late to work. I walk out of the room at 4AM for a toilet break and VOILA, he is smoking with a unusually large cigarette! It looks like he rolled extra tobacco in it.He gave me his "oh shit' expression.

I was in toilet rush so I didn't say anything but walked quickly passed him to the toilet.

As I came out, it was gone. Not a trace.

He probably quickly put it into one of his 'half filled beer can', or he smoked out the entire gigantic cigarette in 1 minutes...if the latter is true, I have to admire his skills and pity his lung.

This morning I was cleaning again. There is an empty "Mr. potato chips" tall container around the corner, filled with some usual food packaging that my flatmates usually will not throw into the garbage can but store it in some random places around the house (this will be featured in the future cartoon). I thought it was just that, but when I threw it into the public garbage disposal site, the water flow out on my hand accidentally from the Mr. Potato Chips.

Damn you "half filled beer can".

Anyway, Yeeteng and Juliana (my 2 most craziest fans..lol) suggested I make my characters in the cartoon more recognizable so its easier to tell each person apart.

As a very good cartoon artist (ehem), I decided to lay out some characters in the future flat sharing series, here are the first 2, thats ME and FLATMATE A. =)

Flat Sharing 102: House Keys

Hi guys! Its flat sharing experience again!

This experience happened in the early days of my flat sharing.

I simplified a collection of situations in which the house keys are involved in this comics strip (I am lazy to draw hhaha)

Basically they would forget to bring keys when they come back home, and would rather shout my name REALLY LOUDLY so that I come down to open the door for them.

I guess the entire village know there is an Alex Yap in 250 Tai Poi Tsai Village now.

What went through my mind :" hey, the cell phone is invented for some kinda purpose"

The other experience is that they would give me a call and say:" Alex, I need to get back home, forget my keys, can you pass me the key..like now?" ....

And normally this happens when I was in a hurry on my way to somewhere. I can always say no, but I am very soft-hearted, I cant imagine my housemate cant go back home and have to stay out until someone comes back.

Unfortunately, they forget keys almost every other day in the early days.

And the worse part is, after borrowing your keys, they would normally forget to give it back to you. And you become the one who cant get in. So you call them, but they normally wont response to you (either sleeping, doing some sports, dint pay attention to phone, or drunk...)

No...they are not really drunk all the time...they are drunk sometimes.

But it really make no difference if they didn't answer their call. Right?

My 1st Comicsblog: Flat Sharing Series & How Comics Inspires

Always wanted to try this, although my drawing is pretty mediocre.(Laugh =D)

I love drawing =) I drew on small pieces of paper when I am bored/sad/disappointed/[fill in the blank with negative feelings]...mostly because when I draw I thought of my childhood: I love drawing on small pieces of paper when I was really really young.

Also, I love comics in particular. If you don't know, my family operates a comics/manga rental shop back in penang =)

I think comics is a very strong medium to express oneself. It can deliver a very layman message in a very compact way yet the audience will not be stressed out by the amount of information. Many times it inspired people to think more about the topic; it is so powerful, it once caused tension and even assaults between two religions, remembering the Prophet Comics Series a few years back.

Lately, a berita harian comics depicting Ultraman ran away from the tsunami, of cause this is referencing to the Japanese Earthquake.

Many regard this as nonsensitive.

I disagree. I think without understand the message the author wanted to deliver and judge is not very fair.

What message do you see from this comic?

What I saw is a disaster that is so massive, even the mighty Japan, represented by Ultraman, cannot handle.

There is nothing about being not sensitive.

But I admit he could have drawn it a different way, that would avoid being slammed they way he was.

And don't get me wrong, I hated Berita Harian to the bone, for 2 reasons:
1. It is controlled

2.And I was forced to write summary report from this paper when I was in my secondary school.

Nevertheless, I have to repeat, the ultraman comic, is really nothing compare to the attempt to relate the earthquake to "Green Technology" and "Climate Change", especially from a person who seems to use 5 bottles of aerosol on her hair everyday.

Hey, I didn't say who.

Moments Captured: Hand phone version

Sometimes you just bump into scenes thats so memorable but then your DSLR(AKA Big Camera) is back at home and someone has leased your compact camera(AKA Small Camera) permanently.

You will just have to make do with an alternative: Your hand phone camera.

They are typically not such a beauty like those I would share on Flickr (as shown above), but the object of the scene and its implicit meaning could have compensated its lack in beauty.

Here it goes:

Scene 1: Dinner in office

Location: IDS Lifung Centre, Shatin HK

Description: 8:30pm in the office, dinner? Mini Pizza hot dog, fried fish skins (YES! Say "OMG they eat fish skin " my westerner friends) and a can of iced lemon tea.

Worked till 10:30pm after this quick dinner.

Scene 2: A crystal-ed SLK

Location: The Element, West Kowloon, HK

Description: wow....

Scene 3: 搵雞唔洗返大陸又平又靚根記有

("You don't have to travel to Mainland to look for CHICKEN, we have them here nice and cheap!"--$29)

Location: Wo Che 禾輋, Shatin

Description: A good laugh... saw this during a supper gathering with my colleagues in Wo Che. (In case you don't know, chicken is the alternative tongue-in-cheek expression for prostitute in Cantonese/Mandarin)

Scene 4: I thought it was a bus ticket

Location: LCC-T, Sepang, Malaysia

Description: The boarding pass Airasia gave me in my last return trip from KL. Handwritten, almost like another bus ticket I had on my trip from Penang to KL.

Is this how they cut cost? (Note: Airasia is an airline, and I am suppose to board a plane with this ....bus ticket-look alike thing)

Scene 5: LP 3427

Location: Siu Lek Yuen, Shatin, HK

Description: To all my Penang friends=YES THEY HAVE "LP" NUMBER PLATES! (To my non-hokkien speaking friends, thats not a nice word to use in hokkien, period.)

Scene 6: The Earth House

Location: Yongding Perfecture, Fujian Province, China

Description: A visit to my mum's ancestral culture (after being in the city where my dad's ancestral culture originated from-Xiamen), the Hakka people's Earth House 土楼。

This one is well known for its tilted pillars. According to our guide, the carpenter of this structure were pissed by the commissioner of this earth house, decided to show him how good he is, so he made the pillars tilted but still the entire house is as good as other earth houses.

Interviewed in HKUST Career Guide

Before the end of last semester, a staff from HKUST Career center called and ask if they can interview me, for my extra curricular activities in the university.

I was quite surprise, agreed to be interviewed though.
At the end they did not schedule a meet up, just a simple email asking for article with specific topics, like what did you do, what did you learn, what did you do that and stuff....they finally published the thing in the latest career guide:

The one about Whopper and potato

I am not trying to be racist or hostile towards any race or nationality...but...it is kinda funny.
Yesterday when I was in Student Center Food Court lining up for Burger King, the server asked the person behind me what he wants (cause they will prepare the burger that you want on order)
The person behind me is very obviously a Mainland Chinese Nationality.
At first he was not aware that the server was asking him..so he just stared at the menu.
Then the server asked again with a louder voice.
"How can I help you sir??"
" Oh oh...ehh.....A Whopper and potato."
....
I was like: what the hell, potato???
And I guess thats what the server thinking too......Potato..like this:

After a few seconds, both me and the serve realize what he meant was : fries....

A glance of my first 3 weeks at Atlanta

As 3 weeks has passed, I felt I owe everyone a brief description of what happened to me all these days after my departure to the 'New World"i.e. America.

To make things easier to understand, I would summarize my experience in a few sub section.

When I was in Korean Incheon Airport
I was stuck there for 6 hours during transit, wanted to get online and write blogs...but...thanks to their special electric plug..its not British standard as in Malaysia and HK, not Mainland standard, not US standard/Taiwan standard as well...
I cant get online at the end.

Textbook are expensive in America
When I was in HK, I saw books ranged between 100-300 HKD, I will walk to the shop in Mong Kok which sell mainland version (ie photocopy version) and get it at half or even lower price.

In US, i saw textbook priced at the same numerical range. Except that its in USD. Imagine a textbook selling at 180 USD, exactly the same content as the one I got in HK. I can get 180 HKD in HK and 90 HKD in the shop in Mong Kok. What the hell.

And so, this has caused me to look into ebay. And guess what, i get most of my books from internet. And Malaysia made me proud by being the source of textbooks for many of my friends here in Georgia Tech! hahah.....

Food is expensive and ridiculously large in portion
A meal typically cost you USD 5-7 for a set. And the portion is so big, when u re 70% done with it, you feel the food loitering around your esophagus: you feel like vomiting. And the drink is ridiculously large and what more, you can refill without limitation most of the time. What the heck......

And there arent alot of choices around. You can buy a meal plan and eat everyday in the dining hall, where they serve luxurious buffet everyday and you eat all you can. But seriously, i dont need buffet everyday, and its not cheap.

So I do grocery shopping during weekends and buy LOTS of food in one visit. its ALOT CHEAPER this way.

The place is big Man!

They say Georgia Tech is not really that big comparing to other university in the States. But its insane man, its still HUGE. I walk to my classroom and when I reach there I was dripping sweat.

But the campus is nice, very green and filled with classic American settlement style buildings. And squirrels is everywhere in the campus! They are such a lovely creature! better than roaches in UST!

But the bus system is so BAD compare to HK's.....as I told my friends, in HK if the bus made me wait more than 5 minutes i will start cursing. Here? wana ride a bus? Got at least 15 minutes to wait?

Workload: is not light
I spent a total of 10 hours trying to finish one of the homework of one of my core course.
I have 6 books to read for my history class.

not to mention alot of exams for each course.

The place I live is damn far from classes
20 minutes walk in average, to my classes.
There is a shuttle bus passing by. But its so unpredictable i decided not to ride it anymore.

The worst is when I come home late. The road before i reach my place is so CREEPY.

And because the other housemates are PHD students, they tend to be studying than having fun....so the place is so QUIET. Too little happening in fact.

Anyway, there is a mosque infront of my place.
Friday got lots of Muslim African come and do their prayers.

Well there are good reasons to stay here: i have a room all by myself. Its BIG. Previous resident left me lots of stuff and I save about 1000 USD compare to those who stay on campus.

Southern Americans are crazy about guns
My friend brought me to a local GUN SHOW in Atlanta, by far the most unique experience in the States. It is like a fair for ppl to sell/buy guns. Imagine the entire basketball stadium fill with stalls selling guns. And also Nazis' souvenirs someone got it from their grandpa who fight in WWII. and all sorts of knife: Military, swiss, Samurai, Turkish....you name it...

Here are some random photos I took when I was in a small town out of Atlanta after the Gun Show.I went to a trick shop in this town: A shop dedicated to sell things u use to trick people in party or sell costume to dress up in occasion like halloween or some random customer party.

Goni the Typhoon No.8

The name of this typhoon is Goni (天鵝)

A small little swan that is....not as strong as I expect it to be, I am guessing that I need to be at work tomorrow.

Here are the standard instructions given by Government

1. Complete all precautions in your home. Lock all windows and doors, fit bars into position and insert reinforced shutters and gates if they are available. Adhesive tape fixed to large window-panes in exposed positions will reduce damage by broken glass. Storm water drains should be cleared of leaves and rubbish.

Typhoon Standby Signal No.1

When I got back home from office today, Typhoon Standby Signal No.1 is hoisted. The first thing came to my mind: is it going to hit us tomorrow in OFFICE HOUR?

You see, when typhoon is coming to a head on collision with the city, The Hong Kong Observatory will hoist a Typhoon Signal no.8 Signal(or higher) and we dont have to go to work/school/outdoor whatsoever. AND the last time it came, it came on a bloody SUNDAY. (I wonder if they need to go to Church)

What a damn waste.

please come on the right timing alright?

And please arrive with the minimal strength to cause a holiday.

Office Life

On Friday, bunch of Management Trainees and Interns of my company started circulating mass emails about how exciting the 1st 2 weeks went.

Then I realize its because we have all got our first salary in iDS.... :)....Check out Hang Seng Bank e-Banking right away...ITS THERE!! my first salary....>< Okay, it sounds great when you get your salary, but recently I was kinda worried about work life....

It seems that work life means you put most of your life to your company....

I saw my colleagues working til midnight every day. Some even need to be in office in Saturday. Yes true the pay is high, but I wonder, can I live like that for 20,30 even 40 years??

Started to appreciate school life so much.

They said its the reason why you need to love your job cause you have to be in it for the most part of your life.

I really like what my department is doing (lets just assume that I could be able to come back as Management Trainee next year), those are cool stuff. I dare say we will not be bored by tedious and repetitive daily operation. But, if I have to submit 90% of the time I wake up to it, no matter how interesting it is, its still scary.

I hope I could cope with this. Or maybe I should think of post-grad...haha....professor's life looks good!

Why does the Hongky Cross the road?

Okay, as some of you have already been told, I am currently working as an intern in Hong Kong. To be exact, its a company in Shek Mun, Shatin (沙田石門).

So, there are a few ways to get to work. But most of it, I have to walk the final 100 meters from bus station/train station/shuttle bus station before I reach my office.

A little history before I begin on my main topic. The place was basically a former manufacturing block for Hong Kong when the Pearl of the Orient was a major exporter of manufactured goods before Mainland China emerge. When that happen, the place basically transform into offices for logistics companies and manufacturers who moved their site to the Mainland.Many of the tall buildings is what I call a "vertically accessible warehouse". Unlike warehouses in Malaysia which lie flat and spread wide on the ground, it is tall with 10 stories at least and goods are being transported to different levels with giant elevators.

Hence it is the sort of place where you see tall office buildings along with heavy vehicles around the place. Looks kind of odd to me when I first saw it.(Will talk more about it in my next entry)

Okay, I am getting to my topic now.

Because of the highly dense 'office population' in the place coupling with heavy traffic of trucks and trailers, zebra crossings are plentiful in this place. To get to my office from the bloody train station, I have to cross 5 crossings,all with traffic lights.

You know, traffic lights is not smart enough. They are programed to show red lights and green on a fixed 'schedule'.Hence you will probably see a bunch of Office Ladies/Office Uncles standing by the street when there are no traffic at all, because the traffic light is showing RED.

I was like....what the.....the road is straight and it is clear of traffic, and people stand there and wait .....5 minutes for the traffic light to turn green???

I mean, if it is in penang, People has already crossed the road by no time.

Okay,...I thought...maybe its because people here are more 'civilized' and they obey laws?????? So I, was like the other guy, waited there as well, as it would look odd if I cross the roads while others stand so still.

The worst part is you have consecutive red lights at the 3 crossings before you reach your office. It is Summer, and even in 830am, Hong Kong's sun could kill. So you would really like to get to the comfort of your office ASAP.

Then, once in a blue moon I was late for work (as in I was a few minutes away from 9am when I reach the train station.).When I reach the crossing.....gosh, ppl are standing by the road with no traffic at all just because of the stupid red lights. Now I realize that it looks civilized and stupid all at the same time.

I care not the red lights and rush cross the road (after making sure that the coast is clear of traffics).....and then......here is the point of the whole thing...people started following me crossing the road..!!!!

what the heck????
I was so stunned, I thought you guys are civilized my dear Hong Kong friends??? Why do you follow a Malaysian cross a road on a red light?

I did a few experiments about this day to day during lunch hour and after office hours.It seems that I am right: The Hongky, will be so obedient to the regulation when everybody else is obedient, but will be as reckless when somebody else did the first moves, at least when it comes to 'Jay Walking'(crossing the road illegally)

So it comes to the central question of this entry: Why does the Hongky cross the road when a Malaysian make the first move?

A Summary of my 16 days in Malaysia

Always wanted to make a summary of what I did in the 16 days I spent in Malaysia this summer. Here it goes, I think I dint really meet too many ppl this time sadly. I think next time I should put up a blank schedule and let all the frens just fill in the dates that they can meet me before I come back to M'sia.

June 16^th Tuesday

9:15am Flight, Reached KLIA by 1:05pm took bus to KL Sentral (RM10), Grab a taxi to Sister’s place. Visit brother’s new house at night.

June 17^th Wednesday

Woke up late, abt 11pm. Went Bandar Utama with mom, tried to online in One Utama’s Starbucks. Failed, whole area’s wifi server was down, good job streamyx. Tried the new Starbucks Frappuccino, it was bad. Black Forest cake is nice anyway. Bought next day bus tickets for me and mom back Penang.

Had a great seafood dinner with sis, bro in law, mom and Michele.

June 18^th Thursday

10am depart from Bandar Utama on aeroline, a bus who thought that it’s a plane itself. They have their stewardess as well. Lame serving of Subway as lunch, super small. Reached penang by 4pm.

Dad brought me to Char Koay Teow right away. Hainanese Chicken Rice as Dinner.

June 19^th Friday

Relax at home whole day, had an appointment with Khee Ghee to meet at night. He was sick, we didn’t meet at the end.

June 20^th Saturday

Hit for Kuala Kedah. To pay my tribute to my grandma.
Met my second sis Irene, got my fake iphone.
Met some of my relatives including my cousins the twins, Meiji, En’en and the cutest Elim.
Got back late and missed Juliana’s invitation to Youth’s music fest.

June 21^st Sunday

Met Chun Howe at 4pm, then he went Yeong Boon’s BBQ party.
Met Ivan Eow Kok How, Soon Hui for supper. Chun Howe join us later after the BBQ.
Wei Ping came at the end with his girl friend. @ Kapitan Gurney Tower.

June 22^nd Monday

Bought Pirated games from One Stop.

Met Choon Him at night, it became the only meeting between us during this summer. He wanted to meet me again the next week before I go, but he was too busy to make it after all…..so sad….

June 23^rd Tuesday

12:00AM wished Juliana Happy Birthday.

Evening: Watched Transformers: revenge of the fallen with Kok How, Soon Hui, Shih Tong and Shun Mu.
Stormed Mamak stall ‘Subaidah Tg Tokong’ after that.

June 24^th Wednesday

Met Dr. Teng for consultation on immunization

Went dental clinic, did wisdom tooth extractions (2 teeth, both on right cheek),

Extremely painful.

June 25^th Thursday

Went Gurney shopping. Wasted time whole day.

June 26^th Friday

Queensbay Lunch with Yee Teng and Hui Jean, @Dragon-I restaurant. Did shopping with them @ G2000, Origin and digital bay. Met Shu Fen jie jie (cousin) in Queensbay mall and got the wool scarf knitted by herself. Saw Transformer’s merchandize exhibition in Queensbay.

Took a long journey of bus to times square. Met friends from SAPY. Farewell party for Joshua and Swe Shyan.

Witnessed the worst public transportation in human civilization, probably even a bunch of sausages can do better than that. Moral of the day: never in your life trust Penang’s public transport

June 27^th Saturday

Gurney window shopping, walked to one stop for printer ink.

June 28^th Sunday

Hit Penang Hill with Hui Yang, Yan Hong, Juliana and Chuan Eng. The most boring place on earth probably but had a very nice time with all my pals. We visited CLHS before that.

Shopping spree with my mum: bought shirts, shoes, belt, bolster….bla bla….

June 30^th Tuesday

Went Prangin
Karaoke @ Redbox with Yan Hong, Chong Yew, Tsong Han, Kee Jin and Chuan Eng.

Very Fun.

Choon Him being reminded by me about failing to meet me and being forced to make a promise to come HK in one and a hlaf year time as a punishment. HAHHAHA

July 1^st Wednesday

Took express bus to KL at 10pm

Took KLIA Express to KLIA, took 9:15am plane back HK

I was thinking, how would it be like when I started working in HK? probably only back in M'sia once a year? so unimaginable...My family members could always fly to HK to see me, but it will be very hard for me to see my friends again....so sad....For those whom I dint have a chance to meet, Khee Ghee, Fion, Jun Hean, Chee Seong, and others ( if you are not named, dont worry, I still remember you, but I just cant name everyone, it will take me forever)....I am so sorry, let us meet next year :) its a promise...
